About our Services and Style of Worship

Sunday AM (10:00 to 11:30)
We begin with worship music that blends today’s favorite choruses
and worship songs along with the great hymns of the faith.  This is
followed by a “speaking time”.  This is a time for believers to share a
verse, a testimony or just to say “I love Jesus!” This is followed
immediately by congregational prayer – again, this is a participatory
time where everyone can pray, and give thanks to God.  We believe that
worship shouldn't be just “silent and sitting”, but alive, active and
interactive.  This time is followed by a message from one of our
pastors.  We often teach and preach in some depth on Sunday
morning, giving series that explore a given Bible book or topic.

Sunday PM (5:45 to 7:30)
We begin promptly at 5:45 (so come a little early).  We have our “Lord’s
Table Meeting”.  This is traditional communion (non-alcoholic wine is
served), but it is done in a non-traditional way.  We gather around the
elements as a Church family, pray, sing and rejoice over what Jesus
did for us on the cross.  It is an intimate time with The Lord and His
people.  As we pray and sing, the elements are passed and the
service is guided by one of our pastors.  We then conclude The Lord’s
Table Meeting at about 6:15 and have an evening message from the
pastor who led the Table Meeting.  This is an interactive time, allowing
for questions and discussion.

Wednesday PM "Life Groups" (6:45 to 8:00)
We have several home meetings around the Westerville and north-
east Columbus area.  Our home meetings focus on prayer and close
fellowship over the Word.  After a brief greeting time, people break up
into small groups and go over a portion of scripture.  Everyone gathers
again to share the truth that impacted them most.  These are intimate
and very spiritual meetings.  Our congregation feels we often
experience The Lord in a deeper way in these meetings that even the
Sunday meetings.
